My AutoComplete name memory seems to have disappeared - help!

My AutoComplete name function is not working properly.

The names I have used since the last restart are there but all others seem
to have been wiped from the memory. The "suggest names" function box under
e-mail options is checked but it is not finding any names other than the ones
I have used since the last restart.

How can I get AutoComplete to recognise these names again and why has this
happened?

Last restart of what?
Outlook?
Operating system?
