My atl + tab isn't allowing me to switch between pages. Why?

I used to be able to switch between pages by using the combination of alt +
tab. I am no longer able to do this. Any ideas why the shortcut stopped
working?

The Alt+Tab combination switches between open windows, usually of different
programs. In Word 2002 and 2003, if you go to Tools > Options > View and
check the box for "Windows in Taskbar", each open document behaves as a
separate window, and Alt+Tab will go to them. If that option is unchecked,
though, there will only be one Word window, and Alt+Tab will only go to
other programs.

There's another shortcut, Ctrl+F6, that always goes through the open Word
documents and nowhere else.
