Mutiple Copies of Emails

Everyone -

Outlook is dropping multiple copies of every email I receive into my
Inbox. For example, my dad sent me two emails last night, but when I
opened up Outlook each message was there 5 times over.

Does that make sense, and if so, has anyone else had and then resolved
this problem?

Thanks.

If you are using a Norton product set to scan email, turn it off - it is
superfluous and has caused no end of problems.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

No, but I am using AVG anti-virus which sits in Outlook scanning the emails.
