Hi,

I have a Dell 4600 with Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A10
and lately the boot says

SATA Primary drive 0 not found
SATA Secondary drive 0 not found
Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility

This happens every start up. I just did a reformat and installation of the
Dell Reinstallation CD for OS and now it just stops there and goes nowhere
after hitting F1.

HELP!

Have you tried going into the BIOS and setting all to default settings
then saving and exiting?
This'll reset any custom settings you made previously of course, so
consider carefully before trying.

Did you re-intall the SATA driver when you re-installed Windows? It should
have asked you to hit key F6(I think) and insert the flopy with the sata
drivers on it.

all fixed. I was given the Dell. Someone had messed with the BIOS.
It was happening because there aren't any sata drives in this dog. lol
