How do I link music files uploaded from a CD into a
presentation?

I would highy recommend that you copy the music to your
hard drive and insert it from there. PowerPoint does not
do well with music from a CD because there is a delay
while it gets the disc spinning.

Copy the music file onto your hard drive, then do the
following:

1) Click on Insert: Movies and Sounds: Sound from File.
2) Find the drive where you saved the file and select the
file.
3) Follow the directions PowerPoint gives you regarding
whether you want it to play automatically.
4) Make sure to check your multimedia settings in Custom
Animation.
