music won't play anymore??

I installed a 56k dial up modem on this computer and now
the sound does not work. if i reset to an earlier time
before the modem the sound comes back on momentarily so
that I can hear my log on but music still will not play
someone please help me!!!

seems like a device conflict. You may want to see if the
sound card show up in your device manager. my
computer/propertied/device manager

look for the sound card see if it is there

you may need to swap pci slots on the two cards
