music playback buttons stopped working

I have the Toshiba Satellite M30x and until yesterday, my play, stop, ff, rwd
buttons worked. I think I may have pressed something to disable these buttons
but I can't figure out how to get them to function again. Please help!
 
Perhaps a System Restore may help. Go back a couple of days, you can
go back up to 90 days to restore your system.
Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore
