Music on PhotoStory

When I add a music selection to photo story, is there a way to start the
music somewhere in the middle of the song and not just from the beginning?
Often I just want to use a chorus or eliminate a long intro, but I can't
figure out how to start up the music part-way in?

Any suggestions?

You could use a free audio editing program such as Audacity, found at,

http://audacity.sourceforge.net

Then you could cut your music file to start where you wanted, save it under
a different name and not spoil the original. Audacity will allow you to have
some more fun with the sound file too!

Quilly,

Have a look at the new Anti-Spyware program CounterSpy
I recommend it, it worked for me at,

Here's something to experiment with.
Try importing your PhotoStory into
Windows Movie Maker.

Drag the PhotoStory to the timeline and
if it has music...right click / mute...the
existing Audio track.

Now, import the music file/s you wish to
use and drag one or more to the timeline.

You can drag the Audio/Music file to any
starting position you like. Also you can
split the audio file and delete any portion
of it you don't need. You can also fade in /
fade out and adjust the volume of individual
clips. Also if you select an audio file in
the time line you can adjust the length by
dragging the double red arrow.

When you are finished, go to File / Save
Movie File....or...type...Ctrl / P. For best
quality...try saving as DV-AVI...the following
article explains how:

How do I save my movie as a
DV-AVI file in Movie Maker?

John,
I have tried to fade in/fade out individual audio clips in MS Moviemaker,
but have not been successful. I want one audio clip to fade out as the next
fades in. How do you do that?

drag the audio clip on the right to overlap the one on the left... it's the
same as a fade transition on the video track, one ramps down as the other
goes up.
