Music Match Jukebox won't rip CDs on Asus A6U

Hi all

I've been having some problems getting Music Match Jukebox version 6, 9
and 10 to work on a brand new Asus A6U, running Windows XP (32 bit
version)
MMJB will install and update itself fine, in paid ("plus") or basic
mode but will not rip CDs properly. The recorder function opens, and
lists the tracks by name on the CD. When you click on the record
option, it seems to record the tracks, but produces the error message:
"could not copy .cda file. The destination file is missing." The track
names do appear in Music Match Jukebox's library afterwards, but the
file size is 0k and the tracks themselves are not there (or not
playable).
I've not experienced this problem before using the same software on an
Acer Travelmate 353 TEV and an HP Pavilion DV 4108 EA, both running
WinXP and have contacted Asus to see if there might be any
compatibility issues. MMJB's "help" is useless unless you pay for the
plus version, and I'm not about to do that if it isn't going to work.

Anyone experienced anything like this, or have any ideas what the
problem might be?

After reading your post I tend to commisarate with you. I have completely
deleted my MMJB for it gave me plenty of problems in the past and I did not
want to pay for the Plus version. Use WMP10, Roxio and/or Nero if you have
it. WMP comes free with XP, check it out.
