Hello,

I am exploring MediaPlayer for the 1st time. Can you help me with these
questions please?

1) Roughly how much music can I record onto a CD-R disc

2) When I copy music it is marked as 'Unknown artist', can I rename the CD?

1. Roughly 80 mins worth of music,
2. Should be able to click twice on "unknown" and then
type in the name, after the copying is done.

Up 80 mins.
Most tracks are 3-4 mins long, so you could fit upto 20 songs on.

2) When I copy music it is marked as 'Unknown artist', can I rename the CD?

You need to edit CD Properties BEFORE burning the CD.
