Multiple Volume Backup Set help

K

Katdoerr

In trying to back up to CD, but when I tell backup utility
to write to drive E I recieve the error message

Backup file name could not be used
"E:\1_07_04\Backup.bkf"
Please ensure it is a valid path, and that you have
sufficient access.

I am the Administrator, no other users, so it shouldn't be
an access violation, it looks like a valid path. Help I
don't understand. It will be a multivolume set so I cannot
just write directly to CD. I can write to the CD using
RecordNow or with a directed folder??? What am I missing?

Are you using the built-in Backup program? It is extremely limited in what
it can accomplish.

You would be better off using something such as Backup MyPC from
http://www.stompinc.com/bump/bump-retail.phtml?stp

It is a full featured backup program that will span CD's during the
backup/restore process.
