Multiple Versions used to create presentation

I am having a problem downloading from both e-mails and a file share site a
ppt presentation that was started in ppt 2003 then e-mailed to someone who
had ppt 2000 who added on to the presentation and sent it along. It is now
my turn to add to this file, but when I try to open it I keep getting the
message that part of the file is missing. I have tried turning off virus
software etc, and still have no luck. Can anyone help me to get the file I
need? I have ppt 2003.
