Multiple Users on Windows Vista

I have a new laptop that I share with my spouse. The operating system is
Windows Vista. If I set the default email on windows Vista side to be
Outlook, will affect my spouse's side. In other words, will both users be
automatically defaulted to use Outlook as the default email?

I think it will.

Okay, you share the use of the laptop. That does not preclude each user
getting their own Windows accounts. Then each user has their own
Outlook configuration. Employ the user separation already available in
NT-based versions of Windows by using separate user accounts.
