Multiple users on one Windows mail account

Think of WLM as WM + fixes + optional Hotmail access.
It is not Hotmail-based.

Hi Gary,

thanks; read the specs but - how does WLM accomodate my current 5 business account that are served from @orange.nl and
(e-mail address removed)?

WLM seems @hotmail.com based, which I could not switch to without dumping my above emailaccounts, deserting my customers.
Is my assumption correct?

Curious, Maria

I am looking to do the same (similar) thing. Multiple Users on Vista using
the same eMail accounts. This gives everyone on our computer access to
everyone's eMail (one copy, one set of rules, etc....). Giving everyone
control without duplicating sorting work.
I was able to locate the eMail file on the hard drive, set it up as a shared
file and then log onto the other Vista User and attach to the eMail file.
Unfortunately every time I switched between Vista Users the Login IDs and
Passwords for the input and output servers were cleared and needed to be
retyped. I found this an unusable situation.

Searching for an eMail program that will do the above.

Outlook Express had the same bug when sharing one mail database
among different Windows users.

The problem is the account passwords use a different encryption between
users, so the password information has to be entered each time. However, if
you create a batch file that copies over a single users' account for each
user, then when you boot, run the batch file to overwrite the account
information that is currently in the message store with the account info for
that user, then you won't get prompted each time.

So set up each user and have them enter the password, and then store a copy
the acct file in that user's profile. Then when switching to that user, run
the batch file to copy the file into the message store.

see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm for details.

??? I said nothing about Outlook.
I don't know what capabilities Outlook has in this regard.

That is incorrect.
