Multiple selections problem

Hello,

Since few days (I think just after I updated the touchpad driver using
windowsupdate),I cannot make multiple file selections anymore using windows
explorer.The "select all" thing is disabled and I cannot use the ctrl+clic or
shift+clic thing.

How can I restore it?

revert back to the old touchpad driver...........and in the future do NOT
let Vista upgrade non MS hardware go to the manufaturers website and upgrade
from there.

I managed to get it back,not by uninstalling the driver,but by going on the
desktop in windows explorer and then making a "reinitialiser les
dossiers"(I'm french) in the display tab of the folder
properties(tools/folder properties/display)
