hello-
i am VERY new to web publishing and frontpage so please speak slowly
and loud <grin>.

when we at www.kaxe.org publish a web page that has includes in it, we
get multiple instances of text and pictures wherever a webbot include
has been in the page. if i strip out the include statement eg.

<!--webbot bot="Include" endspan i-checksum="47620" -->

i can 'fix' the page so that it displays correctly. as it is now, i
cannot run the tool Recalculate Hyperlinks nor publish a page without
destroying the formatting of every page on our website that has an
include.

i am at a loss as to how to fix this!

as background, we had a server crash and had to do a complete rebuild
of the server. the problem showed up after this. i have installed
the FP Extensions which got our forms working but any publishing or
recalculating messes it up.

any help appreciated!

Since the server crash, have you republished the web in it's entirety at
least one time??

yes. and each web page that had an include became corrupted with
multiple repeats of the page within the same page. this necessitated
returning to an old version of the pages and manually stripping out
includes of pages that i HAD to republish to get working for the forms
aspect.

republishing DID get the pages requiring extensions to work, it just
corrupted them.

any ideas?
