multiple remote desktops

My host computer currently connects via remote desktop to
my husband's desktop at his job.

Can I set up a second connection to connect from my host
computer to my laptop?

Not sure what you mean exactly.

You client can connect to as many machines that have terminal server
services as you want/the machine can handle at once. You can
minimize/maximize at will. You just have to know the IP of (or forward the
ports to on some routers) the machine you want to get to that has the server
installed.. (Windows XP, Windows 200 Server, Windows 2003.)
