Multiple POP3 Accts

Is it possible to setup both an inter-office POP3 email account and an
internet POP3 account using 1 Outlook log in? Currently, I have
inter-office account with an email address of (e-mail address removed) and internet
email address of (e-mail address removed) (our ISP is handling the outside email
server). The problem I'm running into is that if I set company.org as the
default, then every email I sent using our internal server as the SMTP
server and all internet emails get bounced back, and vice versa with setting
the company.com as default, all internal emails get bounced back.

Please help and thanks in advance. BTW, the users will not want to use two
different acct or profiles to check emails.

Certainly it's possible. What you need to do is with the account that is NOT
the default, you need to set the smtp server to authenticate.

Hi Gordon:

Thanks for your advice, however, it still not working. I set the internal
SMTP (non-default) to "require authentication", and tested out all 3 options
under "Outgoing Server", 1-using the same settings as incoming mail server,
2- log on using , 3-log on to incoming mail server before sending. When I
tried sending an email to myself, all 3 came back as undeliverable mail
because it still using the external SMTP to send the internal mails. Is
there anything I need to change at the server end, on the Default Virtual
SMTP Server?

Btw, I know both POP3 accts are working because if I do the "Test Account
Settings" from the Email Acct properties screen, both works in sending and
receiving a Microsoft Outlook Test Message.

Thanks in advance.

I may depend on your ISP. I know I have different accounts with different
companies and my SMTP sever has to be the one from my ISP.
eg. (e-mail address removed)
(e-mail address removed)
My smtp server is not smtp.company1 or smtp.company2 but with sympatico as
that is my ISP. Try it and see.

Are both of your accts external email accts, if so, this is different from
my situation. I have 1 external/ internet acct thru my ISP, and the other
thru internal Windows 2003 server.
