I, somehow, have 3 Personal Folders in my Outlook Mail Folders view. I have
the one with the little house and clock icon. All my new mail goes here,
etc. and works fine.

The other 2 appear to be old copies of my pst file. Nothing new goes there
and they are not causing any problems. I have attempted to right click and
close these folders but, I get the error 'The operation failed. An operation
could not be found'.

My Outlook Data Files only lists the one pst file so, I can't fix it there.
I am at a loss.

All suggestions welcome!
Thanks

Then the easiest thing to do is simply create a new Outlook profile from
scratch and configure it expressly to use the PST you want as its default.

Are you still having issues with your personal folders?
Have you tried going to the control panel, then mail, and
selecting data files and deleting any data files listed?

I use personnel folders to store my e-mail on my harddrive
offline. My inbox fills up quickly, and is only
accessable on network.

I have not been able to figure out how to delete a
personnel folder in outlook 2000. I have too many and
want to consolidate them.
