multiple occurances of .pst (IT's GROWING!!)

On 1/8 I posted a message about OL displaying multiple, yet identical
occurancs of the .pst folder in folder view. First, there's been no
response from anyone and 2nd, I now have FOUR occurances! And things to be
running progressively slower when in OL. The 4th occurance happened after
running detect and repair (after exporting a copy of OL and attempting to
then open it). Am I going to have to uninstall OL and re-install? If so,
can I reuse my settings, especially rules and toolbars? I've invested a
good deal of time in both and it would really hurt to have to redo them.

What version?
Assuming Internet Mode are you able to close any of these pst's?
Youve searched yr sys for *.pst ?

I have the same problem. Running Outlook 2003 under WinXP Pro. The *.pst folders show up twice in the folder listing. I've checked my hard drives. The *.pst file appears only once.
