multiple monitors

I would like to add another analog monitor to my system. What's the better
idea: 2 video cards or a card that will run multiples? Better yet, will
this work on my oldish system: AMD Athlon 750, Win98 SE, 256 mg ram? I
currently have a 3dfx 32 meg video card. Any advice is welcome. Thanks
very much.

I get this feature in a radeon 7500 w 64mb. I use it when I need to have a lot
of windows open, db, spreadsheets etc. It's almost seemless: right click on the
desktop then properties. The settings tab has a picture of two monitors... right
click and check attached to activate the second monitor. The card came w the dvi
- vga dee adapter, an otherwise 4-5$ item.

In a previous life I added a pci card to an super socket seven board w an amd
500 cpu running win 98. I think it was 2nd edition. I recall jumping through a
hoop or two, but the dual display worked. Not as easy as the radeon w a dual
head, a board that can probably be had for less than 50$ but it might have been
the o/s(I never tried 2 seperate vid cards w xp pro).

good luck w it-c.porter.
