Multiple Intel(R) Drivers Issues

Warning:Could not find a driver for Intel(R) Graphics Chipset (KCH)
Driver (DISPLAY\IN-KCH-8XX-CHIPSETS).

Warning:Could not find a driver for Intel(R) PRO/1000 MT Network
Connection (PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_100E&SUBSYS_01511028&REV_02).


I have been having lots of trouble with these drivers. My initial pmq
file finds these, but does not find the drivers for it. Thats fine, I
didn't expect everything to work perfectly, but I have been having
issues adding them to my Component Database.

I first downloaded the drivers but the chipset drivers I have found
only come in a setup.exe format. So I just pulled the oem.inf file off
the machine i'm working on converting into a thin client. I import
that oem.inf file into my Component Designer and it pulls the
information and recognizes it as the Intel(R) Graphics Chipset (KCH)
Driver (DISPLAY\IN-KCH-8XX-CHIPSETS) etc...

Then I open the Component Database Manager and import the saved .sld
file into the database which returns with Successful Operation.

My current problem is now when I open the Target Designer it doesn't
show these new sld's in the database. It shows my original .pmq file
but not these new ones.

When I imported them into the Component Designer I set it with
Prototype/Selector Prototype Component and Group Membership\ Hardware :
Platforms.

I have read on msdn that there are programs like Component Helper, and
Regmon but i'm not really looking to purchase any third party programs
if I don't have to.

Also I receive this error which doesn't make any sense

I receive this error after adding my target image but unlike all the
other could not find driver errors, this device still shows up on my
build as if it added correctly.

this.

Did you add the driver files to the repository?

Importing the .sld will not import the files to a specific repository.

I leave alone the XPe repositories and add my files to my own repository
and direct target designer to it's location via the options dialog.

I was able to get the drivers into the repository after some playing
with it. I also did some more reading and found out that NIC card is
not compatible, so I decided to use a new NIC they don't need GB anyway
:-D.

setup.exe driver files (like for Intel chipsets) usually can be
unpacked and there you'd be able to find all .inf, .dll and .sys files.

However I am still having issues with these 2 components. I have
attempted to pull them in manaully like I did the other 2. But all I
get are error when attempting to import the inf file into a sld file.

I'm lost and on a time crunch has anyone experienced this before that

Thanks Rob I was able to get the graphics to go with that setup only
issue I have now is the sound max and I should be good to go.

When I create the Build I get errors that it can not find the drivers
for all these devices I had to custom Componentize, do I drop these
drivers just anywhere in the repositories or do they have to be in some
specific format?

You import them into the database with component database manager.

Spot

Search on your hard drive for ks.inf, copy it into the same directory
as the inf your importing. You will also need another one something
snd.inf.
