Multiple instances of OUTLOOK.EXE (XPSP2, Office 2003)? Fix?

I have searched for this problem with google, MSN and MSKnowledge Base, but
to no avail. I cannot find a fix for multiple instances of OUTLOOK.EXE
appearing in the taksmanager.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

I am using Windows XP Professional with SP2, Office 2003 with all updates
and downloads up to date.

Thanx

Oh, and I don't have a PDA, I am not 'sync'ing with anything, but I have
Xampps installed (PHP 4, MySQL, CRE Loaded 6.15, Dreamweaver 8, Fireworks 8).
The only things I have set to active update are MS update.

Some common reasons why Outlook will not shut down completely when you click
either the X or Exit:

1. PDA synchronization software with your PDA in the cradle.
2. WinFax Pro (especially 10.02 in Outlook 2003) - contact their support
for an alleged fix.
3. Franklin-Cover Plan Plus!
4. COM Add-ins.
5. Mail reminder add-ins that keep a stub of Outlook open in the background
to check for new mail and fire reminders.
6. Anti-virus/firewall programs that are set to scan incoming and outgoing
mail.
7. Infuzer.

Thankyou for the reply.

As stated in my first reply, I do not have a PDA, nor do I have any of the
other items mentioned by your reply.

I do have ZoneAlarm Suite (latest version) running, but the e-mail
protection is switched off. No other programs are installed, to my
knowledge, that require, nor cause, multiple instances of OUTLOOK.EXE in
taskmanager.

I can list the services I have running, and the programs I have installed if
this is of any help in fixing this bug...
