Multiple IE Windows

When I am in outlook express 6 and click on a link a new
IE Window opens. Every link I click on opens a new
window.

It didn't used to do that. It would go to the new web
page in the same window. I don't want all these windows.

I have just rebuilt my machine because of a hard drive
failure. Some default is wrong but I can't find it.

Who out there knows what it is?

With IE open, go to Tools > Options > Advanced. Check "Reuse windows for
launching shortcuts". Click OK.

Try this:
Uncheck the box.
Close everything and Restart the computer.
Check the box.
Close everything and Restart the computer.

Sometimes this "Kick in the pants" method works wonders.

Frank,
Tried this. Still get multiple windows. I have another
machine also running WinXP Pro and it loads new links on
the same page, so I tried running the Files and Settings
Transfer Wizard. Then imported that to my machine. No
such luck. Still getting multiple windows.
