multiple duplicate email problem in OE??

Every so often I will receive 4 - 8 duplicate emails of every email I
receive that day---all from different sources. I called tech support and
they never heard of that. They suggested leaving my emails on the server,
and when it happens again to let them know so they can try to figure out
what is happening. Does anyone know how to remedy this? I have XP Home.(IF I
am in the wrong group,please tell me which I should use.)

I remember to have had this problem a long time back, when I was using
an ISP through dial-up. It used to happen whenever the Internet
connection was disrupted (which was, and is, fairly frequent, here in
New Delhi, India) because of bad phone lines. OE would not complete the
task of downloading the emails, and would not delete the already
downloaded ones from the server. In the next download session, OE
would start from scratch and give me "duplicate" copies of emails. I
just wonder whether something similar is happening with OE on your
computer.
