Multiple DHCP servers.

I want to set up 2 W2K servers both running DHCP with
differently defined scopes on the same physical network.
Is there a way to define the client machines so that some
get their DHCP service from one server while others get it
from the other server ??

Thanks

You could try ClassID's which is a new thing for Windows 2000. It is not too
bad to setup but you will have to touch every machine. That is the only way
without putting a router in there and subnetting the different DHCP servers
that I know of....any other ideas guys?

Reservations by MAC address works too. And you may not need to touch
remote systems to do this (provided you have a method of resolving an
IP to MAC to start with...).

Ah, yes. Good idea....but not fun to find the MAC addresses......
