Since migrating to Access 2003, whenever our users open more than one
database, the system hangs. Sometimes the files are large and sometimes
they're small, but it happens pretty consistently. CPU and memory are not
high.
Any suggestions on what to check?

Never heard of this problem, Maurice. I regularly run 2 - 5 open databases
at once in A2003.

Don't know if it makes any difference, but I run with:
- macro security on low,
- Name AutoCorrect turned off on all databases,
- no-one else modifying the mdb at the same time,
- at least the front-end locally (back end may be on network),
- stable network (not WiFi, VPN, etc), and
- administrative priviliges in Windows XP.

I had the files on locally, turned macro security to low and ran it on
Win2Kwith local admin rights on and the problem continued. But turning off
Name AutoCorrect seems to have solved the probelm. I'l keep testing as to
why, but thanks for the suggestion!
