Multiple copies of messages

Hi,

I'm using Outlook 2002.When i put a check mark for "leave a copy o
messages on the server" for a POP account,i get multiple copies o
mails.

IS it possible to have that checked and not receive mutiple copies o
mail?

Thanks for the reply Jeff,but there is only one account configured In
outlook.I was aware of that MS KB article.

I found out that the issue is with the UIDL caching on the
server,that is broken and the messages do not het marked as being
read.

The messages on the server are never marked as read - that concept does not
exist in the POP3 protocol. If the server changes the UID for a given
message between downloads, however, Outlook will think that the message is
new and re-download it. Is that what was happening?
