Multiple Cidaemon.exe in task manager

Are there supposed to be multiple cidaemon.exe tasks running?

I have 4 on my system taking up about 3 megs of memory each. I have been
fighting virus's lately and heard that this might be a problem.

I know that cidaemon has to do with indexing service.

I also have this file in prefetch:

CIDAEMON.EXE-01BEEBF3.pf

Is this normal?
