Hi, I'm having a problem with the way two seperate email accounts are
view in Outlook 2003.

I have two seperate accounts, my college account and my gmail account.
I have set my college mail to defualt and there is a seperate folder
containing inbox, sent items, drafts etc for this account.

With my gmail account the view is different. The inbox for this email
is under personal folders and this is the only folder that contains any
emails etc from my gmail account.

Is there a way I can move my default account and folders to be under
"personal folder" and have a seperate folder to hold my gmail inbox,
sent items etc? Or is it possible to have a personl folder, collegemail
folder and gmail folder?

Any help on this would be great, thanks

I suspect that your college account is through Exchange server or IMAP
rather than through POP, so the answer unfortunately, (AFAIK) is no, you
can't move the college account folders into your personal folders.

HTH

That's right, it's a IMAP account.

Does this also mean that the gmail account cannot be view as my college
account is?

Yes.

Thanks for your help Gordan,

Sorry for being a pain in th arse about this but I'm really confused/
frustrated.

Am I right in saying that it is only possible to view the inbox
contents of my POP3 gmail account? I can't download emails in already
in my sent box?

AFAIK, yes. Mails you send from the WEB in GMail will not appear in your
"Sent Items" folder in Outlook. (They do however appear in your Inbox).
Conversely, mails you send via GMail in Outlook, will appear in the WEB Sent
items.

Confused?
