?? Multipe types of pagination within a Word document

Good Afternoon! I am trying to determine if there is a way to "fool" MS
Word. My situation is simple: I have a document that must be sumitted in a
Customer-Directed Template.

The problem lines in that the Header-Format contains a "Page x of xx" entry.
This is fine until introduction of Appendices, which I want to identify as
A-1, B,3 etc.

Does anyone know of a way to preserve the Header-Format pagination entries
while allowing the Appendix footer to record its own level of pagination?
Thanks, Jeff

Insert a section break - Next Page at the point you want the appendices to
start. In Header & Footer edit mode, turn off the "Link with Previous" (or
Same as Previous depending on Word Version) for the new Footer (or Header if
the page no. is here) now you can edit the Header or Footer without affecting
the previous section's H&Fs. Dont forget to change the page number setting so
it does not "Continue from previous".
Hope this helps
