Hey there people,
I found an old tv capture card of mine in an old
machine in my garage. The machine itself is absolutely fried and the hard
drive is buggered too, but all the peripherals work perfectly.
Except one.
The TV Capture card.
Now I've found out all I can to get this working and downloaded past my
monthly allowance, but nothing I do seems to work!
So I'll give you guys the details:
- Yuan Co TUN 200 TV Capture Card (I've checked their website and theres no
help there so don't even BOTHER suggesting that)
- Philips Tuner
- FCC ID: JSR-TUN200
- Bt type chip of unknown specifics

ANY help would be great. Thanks guys.

Erick.

Help for what? You haven't said what the problem is - but then you
described it as "old". Need an XP compatible driver - is there one?
Contact the vender.

Yeah, the problem is window detects it as a Multimedia Video Controller.
There are NO XP drivers for it and the card is TOTALLY obscure.
Any help on getting it to run on ANY drivers would be awsome.
And I HAVE contacted them but no reply after three emails....

And I already contacted them three times and no replies.

In this case, the best solution is to save up for a new TV capture card,
if you really want one. If you've already done a Google for XP drivers
for the old capture card and come up empty, most probably the card is
obsolete and drivers for XP were never written. You might try drivers
for Win2k, if they exist. Otherwise, trash the card and get a new one.

Like Malke said, sounds like you need to get a replacement card. For
many older cards the manufactures did not write XP compatible drivers
believing it wasn't worth their effort. One thing to try is a driver
written for Win2k. Those will sometimes work in XP. If none were
written for win2k or XP then you're out of luck I'm afraid.
