multimedia video controller

When I first start up my puter it finds new hardware and then can't find files to load the multimedia video controller...I don't know where to find the files...Where are they hiding...I even called a comuter repair guy and he couldn't help...so please someone help....

Do you have a TV card?

Please describe in detail your hardware so we can help....

Your machine is looking for a driver that you must download or install from
a cd in order to make it work

Kenny S....Thanks for reply....here it goes....I have a ASUS A7V333 mobo...Athlon processor...512 MB DDR DIMM...ATI AIW 9600 AGP/4X 128 MB DDR with TV...Audigy LS Sound Card....Dazzle DVC 80 w/ Pinnacle Studio 8 /updated....I've unloaded/reloaded all programs and updated all drivers and still get found new hardware/ Multimedia Video Controller...I've tried all my cd's and still says can't find file needed...Thanks for any help....Jim

1) does this message appear when you disconnect the dazzle hardware? If not
then its from that
2) Is all your hardware working (especialy the tv tuner)? If so, there is no
reason to worry, just tell the wizard that pops up to never look for this
device again. I have seen phantom devices before on computers that are
working ok.

Thank you again for replying. I checked the dazzle and it still appears. It seems that all the hardware is working, guess I will ignore it like you say. But now, my computer won't shut off thru windows xp. I have to manually turn it off. And when I start up after closing down I have to go thru the choice of starting from last known good start up. I don't know if my mobo is going or what. BTW went to your site and have downloaded a few of the screen savers...I really liked the fireworks one...thank you for your help...jim
