Multihomed Client Fails to Refresh Registration with WINS.
I have a winxp pro laptop with ethernet and a wireless
connection. When I switch from one to the other I end up
having the same computer name with 2 ip addresses. I
cannot get the browse list for about 15 minutes.

There are several issues with multihomed windows clients and the WINS
database; read through
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;181774&Product=win2000

By design, the browse list is refreshed every 15 minutes.

What about adjusting the Enable IP Packet Forwarding in
the registry? Will that give the other network
connection the same ip? In my mind that should fix this
issue. Thanks for the insight.
