Multicultural clash?

Hi all,

I use Windows XP.
I surf some websites with foreign languages. When i
browsed the Chinese website the first time few days ago,
Windows XP asked me to download the language support
(which i did).
Everything seemed fine until I started to see a few
Chinese characters pop up here and there on English
webpages! They don't just creep up everywhere, just a few
places. Like the word "don't" The last two characters -
the apostrophe and "t" were replaced by a Chinese
character. It's not the end of the world, but it would be
nice to know what going on and clean it up.

Thank you very much for your help.
