Multicolumn drop-down but only one saved in cell

I don't know if this is the correct forum, but I need to create a "data validation" style drop-down list that includes both the data I want to store in the cell and the descriptive phrase that coincides with that data. Both are stored in two columns on another worksheet in the same workbook.

For example:

<UL>Code Description
I Public reservation
I Public reservation, limited time attendance
II Private reservation
II Private reservation, limited time attendance
