Multiaddress email problem

I have had a recurring problem the last month or so in that when I try to
send an email to a large number of addresses in my address book, about half
the emails don't get through and I get the following message back

our message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: FW: [Fwd: FW: Here's your 'Awwwww' for the day!!!]
Sent: 10/13/2008 1:32 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

Email Name (email name @sympatico.ca ) on 10/13/2008 1:32 PM
The requested operation failed.

Yet I can send individual emails to some of these people without problem.
 
Could be that your provider is now limiting the number of people you can
email at one time in the name of cutting back on spam.
