multi-server/single-newsgroup reader?

I'm looking for a good usenet text reader/poster. I recently discovered BNR2
(Binary News Reaper) for binary downloads and really like its approach for
multiple news servers. When you browse a newsgroup it combines headers from
all the servers you've entered and shows which servers a particular message
exists on. You can also prioritize servers so when you download it will only
go to the low priority servers for messages that aren't available on higher
priority servers (great if you want to use a premium server to fill in parts
your ISP's server is missing).

These are basically the features I'd like but for text groups. Currently I'm
using Outlook Explorer and basically like it as much as any of other readers
I've tried. They all have the same basic design, that is messages are
grouped hieratically by server, not by newsgroup so if one server is missing
some posts they aren't simply inserted in the thread from a second server,
but you have to go down the tree to the other server where there's another
newsgroup disconnected from the first server. Is there a reader smart enough
to know it should show you all the threads in a single group, regardless of
which server the messages exist on?

Thanks,
Ric

Yes, Dialog at http://www.40tude.com/dialog/history.htm

To combine all the posts from all the servers into one newsgroup check
the help under virtual groups.

"This includes joining the articles from the same newsgroup but
different servers into one group"

No additional programs needed.

Regards, John.

You can use any favourite newsreader with local usenet proxy.

It collects headers from all servers into only one local database.
Your reader need to know only one server - 127.0.0.1:119

It is command line bacground app for Windowses and Linux too.

Its configuration can be easy or sofisticated, according to your wish.
