MSysDb not found

I searched the forum and found that this means the MDB is corrupt and so a
compact and repair action is required after backing up the database.

I'm having a problem b/c the database is password protected and once I open
Acces 2003, click compact and repair, open the MDB, the password prompt pops
up and everytime I enter the password in I get the same MSysDB message.

Is there a way to fix this or am I going to have to just revert to a back
up? Problem is I've made a great deal of changes to the front end over the
last week but didn't back it up. PLEASE Help!

The symptoms indicate that the section of the MDB containing the
password got corrupted. You could try the JetComp utility or
importing from the MDB.

One suggestion someone once posted was to replace the first 256 bytes
of the file with the first 256 of a working backup using a hex
editor.. MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS TO A COPY OF THE MDB.

Also you may be able to retrieve the database password using a free
utility. Visit www.trigimenal.com for such a utility.
