MSWord docs

Win XP Pro SP2
MSWord 97

I'm not new to PC's and have used MSWord for several years but I'm completely
lost, having tried for several days, when it comes to transferring a Word.doc
to a CD, a CD of any type. Can some knowledgeable and kind responder tell me
how this is accomplished? I have at some prior time did this, sending a .doc
in
Word to a CD but I'm an old forgetful man. . The CD page just sits there,
unresponding. I also have Nero if that helps. Thank you.

If you are trying to write to a CD/R with Nero InCD, have you
formatted the CD? If you simply want to write the file to a CD,
have you tried Right-click> Send To: ?

Are you trying to save to a CD directly from within Word? You can't do this,
at least not without having special software installed. Just save the file
to your hard drive, then burn a CD from it using either Nero or the built-in
XP CD-burning program.

This is no different with a Word file or any other type of file.

Simply follow the instructions that come with whatever CD burning
application you use.
