msvcrt.dll

Hi, all
I have scanned this board repeatedly, and I have a problem that I don't believe has been adressed, at least not recently. I am getting a repeated error in IE6-"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to shut down....". However, it is referencing my msvcrt.dll file as the problem. I am running Win98SE and have run AdAware, Spybot S&D, and am running Norton Antivirus. Everything comes up relatively clean. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
