After I reseal my image, then deploy it, I occasionally see the error
msvcrt.dll has become corrupt. I have ewf on the volume, and I am
using it. The problem usually fixes itself on the next boot. The
media is a hard drive. Has anyone else had this problem?

TIA

Hi Terry,

I have been reported this same error two days ago.
Since I'm more oriented in driver writing for XPe in few last months and I'm using XPe for solution testing purposes only, I skipped
using new QFE updates.

But I'm guessing that problem was reported and detected on some XPe image that was built with all new QFE's.
All I know is that there were no EWF present. But about reseal presence I do not know. Boot medium was USB disk. Since problems
happened only once we decided to ignore it.

But this is second occurrence in very short time and now I'm little worried (although now I know that this is not my problem for
certain).

Best regards,
Slobodan

Hi Terry,

What is the latest service pack that you have?
Also what QFE components are you using?

Slobodan

We are running with sp1,
QFEs:
Q811279_XPE_SP2_X86_ENU
Q816654_XPE_SP2_X86_ENU

Thanks for your interest.

Hi Terry,

I checked what was that they used.
It was SP2 beta. No EWF and no cloning support were present.

Until error happens again I will leave that at this, at least we know that on totally different hardware and software error
happened.

Best regards,
Slobodan

Thanks Slobodan,

I have tried to copy the files to the media using a cd rom to deploy
previously, (zipped up with winRar and WinZip) both have produced bad
results. (as stated). However, when I map a drive, then copy the
files sans the compression, I haven't seen any problems. I have to
believe that the cause is either the compression or the CD media
(using Nero Software).

Regards,
Terry
