MSVCR80.dll

I have been able to install successfully but am unable to run a scan as i
keep getting a message that says, "the application failed to start because
MSVCR80.dll was not found". It recommends re-installation but does not help.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Mark,

next time do a search with your problem, then you found the lines from
Steve Dodson:

start -> run -> c:
Press Enter
Browse to c:\ program files
then Windows Defender
Left Click on MSASCui.exe.manifest and press the delete key on your keyboard
Select yes to delete the file.
