I keep getting an error message saying msvcp71.dll is a bad windows
image..that file resides on on a couple of dfferent places on my harddrive
the one residing in the system32 folder is 10.3mb in size the others are
488kb. I'm not sure whats causing the behavior or how to remedy it..any
suggestions? I ran sfc /scannow and it found nothing. I checked with a
couple of different people and the dll in their system32 folder isnt 10mb in
size is 488kb..im just perplexed. I got the error message when trying to read
a pdf file and when trying to install yahoo messenger..incidently its in the
folder as well the dll file

Should I replace their file with the one already in my system32 folder? the
file sizes are quite different
