MSS Messenger 6.0

Windows XP pro ver.5.1

Problem: Cannot install MSN6 on windows xp pro.

The installation starts and gets about 50% complete, then
stops and I receive this message:

"Folder path C:\ contains an invalid character."

Need help and thanks in advance,
