Hello

This folder has copied itself to my HD and I understand why (read the
Microsoft article)

However, there is also a 'erase' procedure but it doesn't seem to work.

When I go into 'starter' > 'All programs'> 'Accessories' > 'System
Tools'>'Disk Cleaner' (or similar cos my system is in French and I don't
know the exact names), the 'Office Installation Files' are shown to occupy 0
Mo which suggests that they are not on my C: Drive

But I can see them there and they won't uninstall using this method.

Can I just 'erase' them in the normal way then ?

Thanks

Hi Dan,

If this MSO cache is in the partion with most free space ....
then it is the Local Install Source (LIS).

Yes you can simply erase the folder (also an option when installing Office)
BUT:
- This cache enables you to add Office components without the need for
original Ofice media.
- Helps to detemine the current state when updating Office.

I removed the MSO cache as well.
To avoid Office update issues, download microsoft's LIStool.exe:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...a3-695b-42c3-9045-b812ba0fed3e&DisplayLang=en

Set LIS to : erase and disable.
