MSN POP3 Email Configuration Change

I am using Microsoft Outlook 2003. After making the required changes, the
server rejects my login. Error code 0x800CCC92. ERR authorization failed.
Verify name and password which I have done. What now?
 
Make sure, under 'More Settings...' button that the Outgoing server (SMTP)
requires autentication' is checked. Use the same settings as incoming.

You MAY have to enter your entire MSN ID (ex. (e-mail address removed)) -- I did and
so have lots of others -- instead of just username.
 
Happy to hear it! There seems to be an issue with how old your MSN POP3
account is.

Mine dates back to when MSN was still a Compuserve-type, private dial-in
service -- before MSN was Internet-based.
