Hi all, i have just started, in effect, WW3 between me and my mates.

Basically its regarding Windows Live Messenger / Messenger 8.0 BETA.

I was sent an e-mail from a friend, a good friend. And it contains a link to download Windows Live Messenger, its a beta, and apparently only available by invite.

One of my other m8's is adamant its a virus and a fake,

However it all seems ok for me, and works ok, nothing unusuall has happened, anyone else have it, or anything?

I've heard about WLM and it's supposed to be quite good, as you say invite only though. Is it any different to the old version?
 
help!!! i've downloaded the new live messenger from the microsoft website but when i view my contacts, they're not all there. Also, some of my mates are online and can see me but I can't see them.

Can anyone help?
