msisadrv.sys

I am getting a message on boot that says msisadrv.sys is missing or
corrupt. If I use the Command Prompt from the Vista DVD, I can see
the file but its size is 0. How can I restore this file?

Should be a spare one at

C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\machine.inf_920a2c1f\msisadrv.sys

which you could copy to

C:\Windows\System32\drivers\msisadrv.sys

Alternatively run an

sfc /scannow

from an elevated command prompt, which may well be a better approach.

Click Start and type, cmd.exe In the results, right click cmd.exe and
select the Run As Administrator option.

In the command window, type sfc /scannow and press Enter.

The will run the System File Checker utility and should replace that
corrupted file.
