msinfo32 crashes under Windows XP Home Edition in my Notebook

Hi,

I got a problem with msinfo32.exe. when i try to run it,

it pops up a dialog of "Microsoft Help and Support
Center".

The detail information is:

Error signature

AppName: helpctr.exe AppVer: 5.1.2600.1106 ModName:
msinfo.dll ModVer:6.00.1209 Offset:0002342a


Does anyone face this problem? Any hints will be helpful

No.
Actually, the Error Message popped twice when i try to run msinfo32.
the other error messgae is: "AppName: helpctr.exe AppVer: 5.1.2600.1106
ModName:
msinfo.dll ModVer:6.00.1209 Offset: 0001bc54"

Is there anything in the Event Viewer to assist with
tracing the problem?
Right click "my computer" and select MANAGE
Then select EVENT VIEWER
Are there any errors under Application or System?
If there are, right click the error and select properties.
Is there a category or Event ID?
